Zusammenfassung

Phillips and Temro Industries seeks a mechanical design engineer to own the detailed design of new products from concept through full production. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets reliability, manufacturability, aesthetics, and regulatory requirements, while leading prototyping and program documentation.

Travel to customer sites 10–15% annually; requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of design experience, with CAD/FEA/CFD familiarity.

Qualifikationen

• BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years of design and development experience
• Familiarity with metal stamping/forming, plastics, and/or electro-mechanical design; CAD/FEA/CFD experience; executes DFMEA and APQP document support

Aufgaben

• Lead detailed design of new products from concept to production
• Travel to customer for design support (10–15% annually)
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure design meets reliability, manufacturability, aesthetics, and regulatory requirements
• Direct or mentor other staff as needed
• Lead project documentation in compliance with quality system implementation
• Provide technical assistance on product applications to marketing and customers
• Perform lab tests or direct laboratory testing and make professional judgments
