Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Mechanical Test Engineer II for the Lunar Permanence team. This hands-on role focuses on hardware testing, test planning, fixtures, and test instrumentation to support spaceflight hardware development.

You will design and execute test plans, manage data acquisition, analyze results, and collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines to drive mission-critical test campaigns and ensure safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics engineering.
• 2+ years of hands-on hardware testing experience.
• Experience with test stands and fixtures.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and test planning.
• Experience with data acquisition and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Apply experience to mechanical component and subsystem test planning and execution.
• Identify test events, needs and equipment required for test.
• Use test facility instrumentation and Data Acquisition and Control Systems.
• Create and review Test Plans, Procedures, safety assessments, schematics.
• Design, procure, install test support equipment; manage vendors.
• Coordinate test crews and configurations; ensure safety during testing.
