Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Test Engineer to join a hybrid team in Hopkins, MN, supporting R&D for medical-device subsystems. You will design and execute mechanical tests, develop fixtures, and document test plans and results in a regulated environment.

Role emphasizes collaboration with engineers and manufacturing, cross-functional testing, and continuous improvement of test processes and records to ensure product reliability and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and executing mechanical tests for complex systems.
• Strong documentation practices for test plans and results.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical test rigs and flow setups.
• Background in mechanical or manufacturing engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Support R&D mechanical testing for capital equipment and medical subsystems.
• Collaborate with engineers to build and refine prototypes and fixtures.
• Develop and implement test fixtures, setups, and methods to validate designs.
• Plan, execute, and document complex tests following procedures and quality standards.
• Create and maintain design/test documentation including reports and protocols.
• Provide feedback on manufacturability, tolerancing, and robustness.
