Job summary

Entegris, a leader in advanced purity solutions, is seeking a Mechanical Technician in San Luis Obispo, CA. You will build mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies to engineering specs, routing cables and wiring as needed, while maintaining safety and quality.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and 0-2 years in mechanical assembly, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in a fast-paced team environment. Training provided; overtime and weekend support possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years' experience in mechanical assembly.
• Ability to learn to navigate systems to locate BOMs, drawings and instructions.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs daily.
• Ability to climb ladders and stand for extended periods.
• Detail-oriented to drive safety and product quality.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
• Willingness to handle material responsibly and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow instructions, drawings, schematics, and process documentation to assemble mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies and systems with supervision.
• Build sub-assemblies with supervision and assemble components per engineering specifications.
• Learn Cabinet Preparation by installing bracketing, piping insulation, and sub-assemblies with supervision.
• Maintain 6S practices and ensure a safe, clean work environment with on-time shipments.
• Work with a team or independently as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
