Job summary

thyssenkrupp Presta Dynamic Components Danville is seeking a Mechanical Technician to maintain and repair production machinery, ensuring safety and compliance across the site. You will diagnose issues, document work in CMMS, and work with cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability.

The role requires reading mechanical drawings, performing calibration and alignment, and training operators on best practices.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; Mechatronics certificate preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair production machinery and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose equipment issues and restore safe operation.
• Use CMMS to log service cases, parts usage and work history.
• Read engineering drawings and blueprints for mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Train Production Support staff and Operators on maintenance procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
