Job summary

FST Technical Services is seeking a Mechanical Technician to support night shift operations in Santa Clara, CA. The role involves performing repairs and preventive maintenance on building and facility equipment, conducting rounds, and troubleshooting mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience with facility mechanical systems (boilers, chillers, compressors, HVAC, exhaust, water movement) and can lift 30 lbs three times daily.

Qualifications

• Experience in facility mechanical systems operations and maintenance (boilers, chillers, compressors, HVAC, building exhaust, water movement, etc.).
• Lift 30 lbs 3 times a day on average.
• Preferred experience in Semiconductor or Pharmaceutical industries.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of building and facility equipment, fixtures and systems.
• Conduct daily rounds and readings.
• Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains a wide variety of facility plumbing, mechanical, heating and cooling systems.
• Conducts preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance duties.
• Assignments are semi‑routine in nature with work performed within generally defined parameters.
• Some degree of judgment required in resolving non‑standard problems.

Experience / Requirements

• Experience in facility mechanical systems operations and maintenance (boilers, chillers, compressors, HVAC, building exhaust, water movement, etc.).
• Lift 30 lbs 3 times a day on average.
• Preferred experience in Semiconductor or Pharmaceutical industries.
