Job summary

NTA Precision Axle is seeking a Mechanical Technician to assist in producing quality parts by ensuring production machines are well-maintained. The starting wage is $25.00 per hour with 2nd shift +$2.00 and 3rd shift +$3.00 differentials. Overtime may be required based on business needs.

This role emphasizes safety, adherence to 5S, and continuous improvement with input to engineers. The ideal candidate has a two-year technical degree and at least two years of manufacturing experience, plus

Qualifications

Two-year technical degree or equivalent training required.
Minimum two years as Mechanical Technician in manufacturing.
Able to pass training tests and communicate effectively.
Willingness to work overtime and safety-focused.
Experience with induction heat treat or forging equipment a plus.

Responsibilities

Performs fabrication and assembly of new or modified mechanical components to improve production processes.
Work from patterns and drawings, using tools and machines to make metal parts or assemblies.
Contribute to machine improvements and assist engineers with poka yoke and design changes.
Test, inspect, and modify equipment to improve manufacturing capabilities and suggest changes.
Comply with IATF 16949 & ISO 14001, maintain clean, safe work areas and perform 5S tasks.
