Job summary

NTA Precision Axle in Carol Stream, IL is seeking a Mechanical Technician to assist in maintaining production equipment and improving manufacturing processes. The role involves fabrication, assembling components from drawings, and supporting engineers with process improvements.

The position requires a two-year technical degree, at least two years of hands-on manufacturing experience, a commitment to safety, and OT availability.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent training.
• At least two years of experience as a Mechanical Technician in manufacturing.
• Ability to pass written tests for training.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble mechanical components from drawings to improve production processes.
• Work from patterns and drawings using tools and machines to make metal parts or assemblies.
• Contribute to machine improvements and assist engineers with poka yoke implementations and design changes.
• Test, inspect, and modify equipment to improve capabilities; recommend changes to products or processes.
• Comply with IATF 16949 & ISO 14001, safety requirements, and 5S housekeeping.
