Job summary

REC Silicon in Butte, Montana seeks a Maintenance Technician to set up, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and equipment including engines, pumps, motors, and conveyors. The role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, the ability to read engineering drawings, and strong problem-solving skills.

On-call rotation and weekend work may be required to support continuous operation. Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent with 1–3 years of related experience, forklift

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years related experience.
• Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
• Must be able to successfully certify and maintain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in removal, installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment such as pumps, compressors, motors, and other rotating machinery.
• Assist in basic fabrication and mechanical duties such as pipe and valve installation and bracket fabrication.
• Perform preventative maintenance functions.
• Perform facility maintenance tasks and basic ground work.
• Plan jobs with estimated time and required materials.
