Job summary

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. in Houston, TX, seeks an Entry Level Mechanical Technician Trainee to begin a formal training path toward becoming a qualified Mechanical Technician in the pipeline industry.

Training lasts 9 to 24 months, with mentoring and both computer-based and instructor-led courses. You will gain hands-on experience addressing troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, installing, repairing, and operating gas compression equipment while following safety policies and industry

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• A vocational–technical certification or an Associate’s degree in Electronics or related field is required.
• A minimum of 6 months to 1 year mechanic experience in a related field is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Work side-by-side with a mentor to undergo training for 9–24 months toward becoming a Mechanical Technician.
• Participate in training courses, including computer-based and instructor-led training.
• Receive on-the-job training addressing troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, installing, repairing and operating gas compression equipment.
• Maintain equipment to the highest quality, in a timely manner, while keeping costs at a minimum.
• Participate in required safety meetings and comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Review procedures to ensure compliance with company and industry standards and regulatory requirements.
