Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Read and write English at a level sufficient for job performance.
• Willingness to work under close supervision and follow directions.
• Commitment to apprenticeship coursework and ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior mechanics in inspection, maintenance and repair of compression equipment.
• Learn to perform preventative maintenance on compression equipment and engines.
• Identify parts and materials needed for PM tasks using manuals and checklists.
• Assist with engine and compressor maintenance on related systems.
• Participate in equipment startups, shutdowns and routine checks under supervision.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and safety compliance.
