Job summary

Enviva in North Carolina is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure preventive maintenance on critical pellet mill machinery in a 24/7 operation. You will follow procedures, document conditions, and support continuous improvement in lubrication and preventive programs.

The role involves diagnosing and repairing motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and other equipment; working with pipes, hand and power tools; maintaining safety and environmental standards; and performing inspections and

Qualifications

Must follow OSHA and Enviva safety standards.
Able to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders; bring own basic tools.
Experience with preventive, predictive and proactive maintenance.
Knowledge of hydraulics, lubrication, and mechanical equipment.
Ability to analyze process flow and identify issues.
Ability to cut, thread, and lay pipes; repair and maintain equipment.
Experience with pumps, conveyors, valves, bearings, motors.
Experience with a computerized maintenance management system.
Proficient in Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook.
Willing to complete training as required by Supervisor and Enviva.

Responsibilities

Assemble, install, repair and maintain equipment; assist with parts procurement.
Diagnose and repair motors, fans, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps and related equipment.
Work with diverse machines and tools to complete maintenance tasks.
Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication as scheduled; maintain reports.
Inspect equipment and keep it in good condition.
Analyze performance and implement changes to improve throughput and quality.
Identify corrective actions and communicate issues for resolution.
Rig equipment and follow safety procedures; operate mobile equipment as needed.
Maintain housekeeping and adhere to safety guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
