Job summary

FST Technical Services in Santa Clara, CA is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join a fast-paced, growing team on a 12-hour compressed work week.

You will perform repairs and preventative maintenance on building and facility equipment, conduct daily rounds and readings, and service plumbing, mechanical, heating and cooling systems. The role requires lifting 30 lbs three times a day and may involve semi-routine assignments with some judgment in non-standard problems.

Qualifications

• Experience in facility mechanical systems operations and maintenance (boilers, chillers, HVAC).
• Ability to lift 30 lbs 3 times per day.
• Preferred experience in semiconductor or pharmaceutical industries.

Role: Mechanical Technician

Schedule: 12 hours shift, compressed work week schedule

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of building and facility equipment, fixtures and systems.
• Conduct daily rounds and readings.
• Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains a wide variety of facility plumbing, mechanical, heating and cooling systems.
• Conducts preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance duties.
• Assignments are semi-routine in nature with work performed within generally defined parameters.
• Some degree of judgment required in resolving non-standard problems.

Experience / Requirements:

• Experience in facility mechanical systems operations and maintenance (boilers, chillers, compressors, HVAC, building exhaust, water movement, etc.).
• Lift 30 lbs 3 times a day on average.
• Preferred experience in Semiconductor or Pharmaceutical industries.
