Job summary

Johnson Matthey in Devon, PA is seeking a Mechanical Technician to inspect, troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment, ensuring safe, reliable operations. You will plan maintenance activities, interpret drawings, and perform minor fabrication while minimizing production disruption.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (mechanical trade certification preferred) and hands-on experience with welding, piping, machine tools and forklift operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; mechanical trade school certification is desirable.
• Experience inspecting, maintaining and repairing industrial mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans and maintenance documentation.
• Working knowledge of welding, fabrication, piping and general maintenance practices.
• Experience operating machine tools and maintenance-related equipment safely.
• Ability to operate forklifts, aerial scissor lifts and boom lifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair mechanical production equipment to support safe and reliable operations.

• Install, assemble, lubricate and adjust equipment to maintain efficient performance.
• Interpret drawings and technical sketches to determine materials, tools and repair methods.

Mechanical Technician

The role:

• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair mechanical production equipment to support safe and reliable operations.
