Job summary

Brooks Instrument, headquartered in Hatfield, Pennsylvania, is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician to fabricate electro-mechanical equipment for test and calibration in global operations.

You will build and modify mechanical assemblies, route stainless steel tubing, troubleshoot systems, and support production with repairs and improvements. Minimum 2 years related experience and an associate degree are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in a related field.
• Technical Associates degree required.
• Experience building ultra-high purity gas systems preferred.
• Ability to read drawings, P&IDs and flow diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and integrate UHP gas delivery systems and test benches.
• Build and modify mechanical assemblies, chassis and fixtures.
• Bend, route, and install stainless steel tubing with leak-free connections.
• Assemble, troubleshoot, and validate mechanical/electromechanical systems.
• Diagnose and repair production equipment and implement improvements.
• Interpret drawings, piping diagrams, electrical schematics, and flow diagrams.
• Work independently on complex assignments with strong mechanical judgement.
• Coordinate with vendors to identify and procure components.
