Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a multi-site K&S team developing semiconductor assembly equipment. You will design, develop, document and test electro-mechanical subsystems integral to a high-performance semiconductor machine under development.

The role requires collaboration with Electrical and Software teams, prototype testing, and BOM creation to support both prototyping and production builds. Bachelor's degree in mechanical or robotics engineering is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or robotics engineering is required.
  • Experience in design for electro-mechanical systems is preferred.
  • Ability to perform analysis for thermal, fluid, motion and vibration aspects.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, document and test electro-mechanical subsystems.
  • Collaborate with electrical and software teams to optimize module performance.
  • Evaluate prototypes and document analyses and test results.
  • Coordinate integration of subsystems into the overall CAD model.
  • Prepare BOMs and support fabrication of prototypes and production units.
