fab2 is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, iterate on, and build specialized equipment for semiconductor fabrication. You will move through design cycles quickly, owning end-to-end processes and testing in days or weeks.

A portfolio of projects demonstrating hands-on hardware work is generally required. The role targets engineers who can integrate mechanical, optical, and electronic components, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver viable production-ready solutions for

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of professional experience in mechanical and electromechanical system design.
• 2–7 years of hands-on experience building, prototyping, and assembling complex systems.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or Physics.

Responsibilities

• Design and iterate on machines and subsystems for semiconductor packaging fabrication.
• Create mechanical designs including frames, components, and assemblies.
• Integrate mechanical, electrical, and optical components in system assembly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve fabrication processes and equipment.
• Source components and materials while coordinating with vendors to meet specs.
