Job summary

Kulicke & Soffa is seeking a seasoned mechanical engineer to design, develop, and test electro-mechanical subsystems for high-performance semiconductor assembly equipment. You will lead cross-functional collaboration with Electrical and Software teams and coordinate validation of prototypes and production builds.

You will manage BOMs, assist in CAD modeling of large multi-subsystem machines, and provide customer-facing troubleshooting and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of precision mechanical engineering design experience.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (NX, Pro/Engineer) and FEA (Nastran).
• Experience with thermal, fluid, motion, vibration, or pneumatic analyses.
• Full design cycle from concept through prototyping to production.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and test electro-mechanical subsystems for semiconductor equipment.
• Lead prototype builds and validate against requirements.
• Collaborate with Electrical and Software teams to optimize performance.
• Manage BOM and integration of subsystems into CAD model.
• Provide customer-facing troubleshooting and risk assessments.
• Perform risk analyses and write reports.
