Job summary

Moog is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer in Torrance, CA, to develop flight control and weapons bay actuation systems for military aircraft. Hybrid schedule (9/80) in Torrance, with report to the Section Head, Mech Systems Engineering.

You will lead development, integration, and verification across Moog sites, translating system needs into strong requirements and verification plans. Collaboration and clear communication with customers and internal teams are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, integration, and verification of advanced hydraulic and electromechanical actuation systems.
• Translate customer and system needs into clear, traceable engineering requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engineering groups across Moog sites to drive product development efforts.
• Develop verification strategies, requirements traceability documentation, and qualification plans.
• Create and execute test plans and procedures to verify system performance and compliance.
• Analyze test results and generate clear, concise technical reports and presentations.
• Support system integration activities, troubleshooting efforts, and root cause investigations.
• Present technical information to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Travel approximately 5-15% to Moog and customer locations, primarily within the United States
