Responsibilities

  • Lead, coordinate, and manage all mechanical field construction activities to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
  • Support the development and implementation of comprehensive project plans and schedules in collaboration with project management teams.
  • Monitor daily operations with assigned disciplines, conducting thorough inspections to maintain quality, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, schedules, and scopes of work to identify conflicts and proactively address constructability concerns.
  • Handle RFIs and NCRs as needed.
  • Ensure proper materials, tools, equipment, and manpower are available when needed.
  • Hire qualified applicants for construction/maintenance projects.
  • Supervise all foremen and crews to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to all company safety and quality control programs and OSHA regulations.
  • Report productivity and activities to the Corporate Office.
  • Work overtime hours as necessary to meet project deadlines.
  • Regular, punctual attendance is required.

Job description

The Mechanical Superintendent is responsible for the overall supervision, coordination, and successful execution of mechanical construction and installation activities. This position provides field leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with plans, specifications, quality standards, and company expectations. This position requires close coordination with the construction team, company management, contractors, suppliers, and the owner’s representatives.

Physical Demands:
  • Climb and work at heights higher than 300 feet.
  • Occasionally lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Push/pull weight up to 40 pounds.
  • Excessive amounts of standing, sitting, bending, stooping, carrying, and pushing, and pulling weights.
  • Work in extreme temperatures and a loud and dusty environment.
  • Be able to wear all required safety equipment.
