Job summary

Salute Inc. seeks a Mechanical Subject Expert (SME) to serve as the most technical leader on HVAC and fluid systems at our data center site in Rayville, LA. The role mentors Facilities and Commissioning Engineers and drives hands-on work in critical environments.

You'll optimize reliability, oversee SOP/MOP/EOP procedures, perform root cause analyses, manage vendor relationships, and lead training for facility engineers during qualification and operations. Strong emphasis on teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a mechanical role in mission-critical environments.
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with electrical controls and fire suppression systems.
• Experience working in a data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Optimizes the reliability and performance of mechanical systems within the data center
• Enhances team ability to operate, maintain, and repair mechanical systems
• Oversees the preparation, execution, and quality control of all work on mechanical systems
• Develops and maintains operating procedures (SOP / MOP / EOP)
• Leads the root cause analysis (RCA) process for mechanical system events, faults, and issues
• Manages vendor relationships which provide support for mechanical systems
• Train facility engineers on mechanical system fundamentals during the initial qualification process
• Delivers formal classroom training on mechanical systems for the data center operations team
