Job summary

Salute seeks a Critical Facility Engineer to oversee data center infrastructure, ensuring alignment with latest technologies for servers, storage, and networks. You will install electrical and mechanical components, manage tasks with cross-functional teams, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes project planning, asset control, and meticulous documentation while coordinating with clients and vendors to meet stringent expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Centers and co-location environments managing hardware assets.
• Demonstrable project management experience with the ability to manage tasks under tight deadlines.
• Experience with a large variety of vendor hardware: servers, storage, and network equipment.
• Experience contributing to detailed project plans involving cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate issue resolution across departmental teams.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical system component installation.
• Complete termination of power cabling, moves, adds, and changes (MAC).
• Panel installations, cabinet installation, and proper device connections as directed.
• Installation and quality control inspections on mechanical system components.
• Reports hazard and safety issue findings and ensures compliance.
• 100% completion of Client SOWs and meeting expectations.
• Accurate and timely submission of time sheets and project documentation.
• Maintain safety training compliance and hardware inventory records.

Critical Facility Engineer responsibilities include rack installation, including electrical and mechanical system components .

• Electrical whip installation within Whitespace

• Complete termination o f power c ab l i n g, m ove s - adds - and c han ge s ( MA C)

• Panel installations, pa t c h cor d m ana geme n t, c a b i n et i n s t a ll a t i o n , and p r o p er d evice c o nn ec t i o n s as directed

• Installation and quality control inspections on mechanical system components

• Policing of computer ro o ms, a l w a y s e nsu r i n g cle an li n e ss a n d t ha t n o c a r db o a r d i s sto r ed
