Job summary

Michaud Cooley Erickson (MCE) is seeking a mechanical staff designer with a growth mindset and strong interpersonal skills to join our Minneapolis team. The role offers autonomy, opportunities to lead design efforts, and collaboration with project teams on building systems projects.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in building systems design, proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD, and a solid understanding of design standards. Great benefits and a supportive culture await.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in mechanical engineering or related field from an accredited university.
• At least 2 years of building systems design experience.
• Proficient in Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine design calculations and sizes standard equipment.
• Following design standards set by PM, Lead Engineer, and EOR.
• Researches and presents equipment and design options to the PM, Lead Engineer, and EOR.
• Follows company master design standards and QA/QC processes.
• Develops knowledge of system types within their discipline.
• Creates project specific details, schematics, and sketches.
• Assembles specifications, including project specific information.
• Interacts with clients and builds relationships on projects.
