Overview

As a Mechanical Service Technician, you will perform all HVAC/R troubleshooting and repairs necessary to keep existing facilities and systems operating efficiently. This work can include inspection, service, maintenance, start-up, testing, balancing, adjusting, repair, modification and replacement of mechanical and refrigeration equipment and components including related piping connections and controls. This role may involve work on any temporary systems and other service, maintenance and operations tasks as assigned by the customer. Southland Industries is a signatory contractor of several local unions, including: 38, 62, 342, 393, 442, 447 and 467. We are ideally looking for someone currently located in the Bay Area – NorCal area.

• Implement all HVAC/R troubleshooting and repairs necessary to keep facilities operating efficiently
• Perform inspection, service, maintenance, start-up, testing, balancing, adjusting, repair, modification, and replacement of mechanical and refrigeration equipment and components
• Complete any other service, maintenance, and operations work, including work on temporary systems

What you’ll need to be successful

• 5-7+ years of experience within servicing HVAC mechanical equipment

Benefits

This position is eligible for selected UA Local 38, 62, 342, 393, 442, 447, or 467 wages, fringes and benefits.

Bay Area (

57.69/hr – 81.73/hr)

Journeyman - HVAC Service Technician

Depending on experience, dispatch, and certifications, these ranges depend on hours worked (OT & DT), bonuses, and non-fridge hours paid for travel or training.
