Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a HVAC Service Journeyman to troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R systems across facilities in the Washington DC metro area. The role requires hands-on work with chillers, towers, boilers, VAVs and EMS/BMS controls.

Candidates should have the Local 602 Apprenticeship with Journeyman Card, OSHA 10, and EPA Universal credentials, and be prepared to work on a range of service and maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years through Local 602 Apprenticeship w/ Journeyman Card.
• Knowledge of Commercial HVAC equipment including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, VAVs, EMS/BMS controls.
• OSHA 10
• EPA Universal

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R systems to keep facilities operating efficiently.
• Inspect, service, start-up, test, balance, adjust, repair and replace mechanical and refrigeration equipment and related piping and controls.
• Perform service and operations tasks as assigned by customers and on temporary systems.

As a HVAC Service Journeyman, you will perform all HVAC/R troubleshooting and repairs necessary to keep existing facilities and systems within those facilities operating in an efficient manner. This work can include the inspection, service, maintenance, start-up, testing, balancing, adjusting, repair, modification and replacement of mechanical and refrigeration equipment and components including related piping connections and controls. In addition, any other service, maintenance and operations work as assigned by the customer as well as work on any temporary systems. Southland Industries is a signatory contractor of local union 602. We are ideally looking for someone currently located in the Washington DC Metro area.

• 5 years through Local 602 Apprenticeship w/ Journeyman Card
