Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) seeks a Sr. Mechanical Project Engineer for its Charlottesville office to lead HVAC design for research, healthcare and higher education facilities.

You will collaborate with clients and partners, guiding multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSME/BSAE (or related engineering discipline) with applicable experience.
• 15+ years of experience designing HVAC building systems for research, healthcare or higher education facilities.
• Professional engineering registration required.
• Proficiency in engineering design programs (Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with clients and project partners.
• Oversee the overall design process on assigned projects within a discipline.
• Develop innovative and unique design solutions to align with project, client and project partner needs.

In this role, you will build and maintain relationships with clients and project partners and is responsible for the overall design process on assigned projects within a particular discipline. Within your role, you will also develop innovative and unique design solutions to align with project, client and project partner needs and leads the team in implementing solutions.

Expertise of our most successful Mechanical Senior Project Engineer:

• BSME/BSAE (or other engineering discipline with applicable experience).
• 15+ years of experience designing HVAC building systems for research, Healthcare or Higher Education facilities.
• Professional engineering registration required.
• Proficiency in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.
