Are you a passionate Mechanical Engineer with a knack for sales and a deep understanding of industrial manufacturing processes? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Mechanical Sales Engineer to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to apply your knowledge and expertise in mechanical engineering and industrial manufacturing to drive sales and enhance customer relationships. You will promote our portfolio of mechanical products, focusing on air filtration and airflow systems. This role is ideal for someone entrepreneurial, confident in communicating complex technical information to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans for the industrial manufacturing sector, focusing on air filtration and airflow systems.
  • Provide technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests regarding our products and services.
  • Serve as a liaison between sales and clients, offering technical support and product knowledge.
  • Prepare cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and customer documents.
  • Collaborate with engineering to understand product specifications and applications.
  • Conduct product presentations to potential clients.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Stay informed about product applications, technical services, market conditions, and promotional trends.
  • Conduct post-sale follow-ups to ensure product performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in industrial manufacturing.
  • Proven experience as an application engineer, focusing on air filtration and airflow systems.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and sales techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Problem-solving skills with practical solutions focus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Territory:

  • Handle from the 10 freeway North to Bakersfield and Santa Maria. Ideally reside within this territory.
  • First year involves significant office time in Santa Ana, with subsequent ability to work from home, visiting the office 2-3 times per month.
