Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Reliability Technician to keep high-volume production lines on line by diagnosing mechanical failures, restoring equipment to service, and performing preventive maintenance.

You will work on conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, and motors, reading drawings and OEM manuals to pinpoint issues. The role requires hands-on problem solving on rotating equipment, lifting up to 50 lbs, and a track record of PM completion with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical troubleshooting ability in an industrial manufacturing setting.
• Hands-on experience with rotating equipment including conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, and motors.
• Capable of reading mechanical drawings and OEM manuals.
• Track record of completing PM routes with minimal supervision.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work around moving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems on production equipment to reduce downtime.
• Repair or replace conveyors, conveyor components, bearings, gearboxes, and electric motors.
• Perform precision shaft alignments on rotating equipment.
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance on lines to maximize reliability.
• Inspect bearings, couplings, belts, chains for wear and fit.
• Interpret drawings and documentation to pinpoint failures.
• Monitor equipment performance and maintain throughput.
• Assist with major repairs, new equipment installations, and changeouts.
• Identify repeat failures and propose durable corrective actions.
• Work safely while supporting continuous production in a fast-moving environment.
