Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Massillon, OH. The role may be titled Mechanical Reliability Engineer or Mechanical Project Engineer based on mill needs. Primary duties include safety, reliability, and project execution across mechanical maintenance and capital projects.

The position requires a BS in mechanical engineering, 0-4 years of experience, and U.S. work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology or related field.
• 0-4 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Project

Responsibilities

• Work safely and support mill safety, environmental, quality, and reliability expectations across assigned mechanical maintenance areas.
• Provide technical support to maintenance, operations, engineering, and contractors to resolve mechanical equipment and reliability issues.
• Develop, manage, and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs, equipment tracking, rebuild programs, spare parts planning, and maintenance documentation.
• Support daily, monthly, and annual outage work through planning, coordination, troubleshooting, training, and contractor management.
• Use root cause failure analysis, equipment history, maintenance data, and cost information to reduce downtime, improve planning, and increase equipment reliability.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.
