Job summary

TECO Energy's Tampa Electric is seeking a Manager, Mechanical System Reliability to lead maintenance strategy for mechanical assets in Energy Supply. The role collaborates with the AM Program Manager to standardize asset management and drive fleet reliability across the generation and delivery systems.

Requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 6+ years of related experience, and strong skills in reliability centered maintenance, leadership, and project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited or recognized program.
• Minimum of 6 years of work experience in mechanical system design, implementation, operation and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of power generation and delivery engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Establish a continuous collaborative reliability management process for mechanical systems and asset health.
• Monitor reliability metrics, GADS reporting, and changes to mechanical systems.
• Lead mechanical reliability teams for Energy Supply and drive performance monitoring and outages.
• Lead the PdM program and risk-based inspections using thermography, vibration, and acoustic methods.
• Facilitate heat rate and efficiency programs including plant thermodynamic models and AI opportunities.
