Job summary

Global Cellulose Fibers is seeking a Mechanical Reliability Engineer for our Columbus Modified Fiber plant in Columbus, MS. The role focuses on improving mill performance by increasing equipment uptime and asset life while reducing unscheduled downtime.

You will lead reliability efforts and partner with Operations and Maintenance to support Manufacturing Work Systems. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years in manufacturing; pulp and paper experience is

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years engineering experience in manufacturing.
Experience in pulp and paper industry preferred.
Strong safety record and leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead reliability initiatives to improve equipment uptime and asset life.
Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations to implement strategic maintenance.
Develop and implement RCFA processes and corrective actions.
Support MWS processes and capital projects.
Provide technical direction during crises and outages.
Interact with suppliers and cross-functional teams to drive reliability improvements.
