Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Leaf River Cellulose Mill in New Augusta, MS, is seeking a Reliability Engineer in the Pulp Dryer department to strengthen asset strategy, root cause analysis, and maintenance planning, driving reliability improvements.

You will work with Lubrication and Vibration technicians, analyze equipment costs, and collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering to close gaps and support safety and environmental goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required.
  • 5+ years of Mechanical/reliability experience in manufacturing or similar industries.
  • Experience with reliability improvement tools to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Experience with data analysis and Microsoft tools for communication.

Responsibilities

  • Support reliability plans and drive improvements in the mill’s dryer and assets.
  • Participate in safety culture and environmental, health & safety excellence.
  • Assist lubrication and vibration technicians with programs and new technology implementation.
  • Analyze equipment targets and costs to identify gaps and drive improvements.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering to vet opportunities and execute improvements.
  • Share knowledge with GP reliability SME network and advance outage planning processes.
  • Develop strategic investment portfolios for reliability improvements and outages.
