Job summary

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Reliability Engineer for Mechanical Systems to oversee the operational health of cooling systems at our Ashburn data center campus. The role is hybrid, with three days in the office and two days remote; up to 25% travel may be required.

You will validate systems, design maintenance programs, and support facilities operations while coordinating with Design Engineering, Automation Systems, and Site Operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in critical facility operations and maintenance.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure systems meet design intent and perform during facility acceptance testing.
• Design maintenance programs to enhance operability and efficiency.
• Provide technical support to Facility Operations teams during failures.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Automation Systems, and Construction teams.
• Develop risk management plans and perform Root-Cause Failure Analysis.
• Train Site Operations teams to operate and maintain systems.
