We are seeking a driven and capable Mechanical QA Supervisor to support hyperscale data center projects for a top technology client. This client-facing role requires strong interpersonal, communication, organizational skills, self-direction, client representation, and solid project management fundamentals. Experience managing multiple projects concurrently and a background in data center development, design, engineering, controls, and operations are highly desirable.

You will play a key role in developing and implementing the Quality Management System (QMS), coordinating construction audits, and overseeing commissioning services. The QA Supervisor is responsible for ensuring work quality, compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

  1. Understand project scope and requirements.
  2. Ensure compliance with quality standards, codes, safety, and environmental guidelines.
  3. Review and verify material submittals for approval.
  4. Confirm delivered materials match approved submittals.
  5. Manage project documents, including submittals, RFI logs, and maintenance logs.
  6. Update QC punch lists and coordinate with contractors for completion.
  7. Conduct quality audits and site inspections.
  8. Adhere to HSE standards.
  9. Provide technical support for operational challenges and client concerns.
  10. Plan and inspect Definable Features of Work (DFWs).
  11. Develop and implement audit and test plans.
  12. Maintain quality manuals, checklists, and forms.
  13. Coordinate with third-party QA/QC firms.
  14. Participate in QMS audits.
  15. Build relationships with project partners, engineering firms, agencies, and clients.
  16. Ensure document control and maintain project logs and reports.
  17. Verify material compliance and document findings.
  18. Handle project closeout documentation, including O&M manuals and warranties.
  19. Address non-conformance issues promptly.
  20. Ensure calibration of inspection and testing equipment.
  21. Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
  22. Prepare progress presentations and reports.
  23. Review subcontractor submittals for compliance.
  24. Monitor subcontractors, suppliers, and materials.
  25. Coordinate final utility connections.
  26. Oversee inspection agencies and achieve MEPS and electromechanical inspections.
  27. Assist in QA/inspection progress reporting.
  28. Review subcontractor work percentages.
  29. Oversee commissioning processes.
  30. Manage MEP project closeout to meet all requirements.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 15+ years of construction and quality management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with field engineering, inspection, and NDE functions.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and related documents.
  • Experience managing non-conformance, defects, and root cause analysis programs.
  • Knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for construction projects.
  • Ability to work under pressure in high-production environments.
  • Technical knowledge of materials and construction concepts.
  • Experience as a Mechanical Quality Supervisor in large commercial or industrial projects.
  • Understanding of Construction QMS and closeout procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of high, medium, and low-voltage systems, HVAC, control systems, and green building projects.

Preferred Certifications:

  • PMP, CCQM, USACE, CQA, Six Sigma, ISO 9001, LEED, or similar.
