MIT Lincoln Laboratory's Fabrication Engineering Group seeks an inspector skilled in dimensional verification of mechanical parts and inspection of COTS hardware. The role emphasizes reading drawings, GD&T, and ANSI Y14.5, with access to Zeiss CMMs, OGP vision systems, and Solidworks-based workflows.

You will develop inspection plans, program CMMs, document results in SAP/ARAS Innovator, and support light lifting.

Qualifications

Graduation from a two-year technical school or equivalent with five years of related experience.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Computer skills including Microsoft Office are essential.
Ability to develop advanced inspection skills for mission-critical components.

Responsabilités

Perform dimensional verification of mechanical parts and develop an inspection plan using available equipment.
Program and operate coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and vision systems based on solid models from engineering.
Proficient with manual gauging including height gages, thread gages, pin gages, bore gages, micrometers, roughness gages, etc.
Part tracking and inspection result recording in SAP and ARAS Innovator.
Work may involve light to moderate lifting up to 50 lbs.
