Job summary

PKF-Mark III, Inc. is seeking an experienced mechanical/plant Project Manager to oversee single or multiple jobsites in a fast-paced environment. You will lead safety-focused planning, coordination with owners, subcontractors, and suppliers, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in construction, a engineering degree, and proficiency with AutoCAD, P6, HCSS, and Viewpoint. You will manage project teams, QA/QC programs, and negotiate contract changes while

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction experience, preferably in mechanical/plant
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
• Ability to meet fast-paced schedules and priorities
• OSHA 10-Hour Certification
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Bluebeam proficiency
• Valid driver’s license
• Manage projects within a 1-2 hour radius of the main office

Responsibilities

• Ensure all tasks are completed with the highest level of safety
• Manage both cost and schedule for self-performed and subcontracted work
• Liaise with owners, subcontractors, and other internal and external contacts
• Select subcontractors through bid analysis and ensure contract issuance and proper insurances are in place prior to commencement of work
• Negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Manage the review and approval of project invoices, to ensure accurate vendor and subcontractor payments
• Assist in the implementation of QA/QC programs
• Confer with upper management to ensure all work procedures and constructability issues are resolved with owners, subcontractors, vendors, and designers
• Evaluate weekly construction methods, determine cost-effectiveness, and discuss any concerns with Project Superintendent
