Summary
A leading mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of mechanical and process piping projects from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate has a strong background in mechanical construction, proven leadership abilities, and a track record of managing project budgets, schedules, resources, and client relationships.
This role is responsible for all aspects of project execution, including estimating support, procurement, contract administration, BIM/VDC coordination, cost control, scheduling, safety leadership, and customer satisfaction. Experience with process piping is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical and process piping projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost projections.
- Lead project planning, resource allocation, and risk management activities.
- Prepare project proposals, estimates, and support preconstruction planning.
- Direct and participate in BIM/VDC coordination and clash resolution.
- Review drawings, specifications, P and IDs, isometrics, and contract documents to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and executed.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, fabrication teams, field personnel, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage procurement activities, including buyout of equipment and materials.
- Track labor productivity and implement strategies to improve project performance.
- Monitor fabrication and installation progress to ensure quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met.
- Lead contract administration, documentation, and project reporting.Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and identify opportunities for future work.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project execution and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing mechanical construction and/or process piping projects.
- Experience working for a mechanical contractor strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing project budgets, schedules, procurement, and project teams.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, process piping systems, and construction practices.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, P and IDs, and isometric drawings.
- Experience with project management and scheduling software.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and build productive client relationships.
