Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Mechanical Project Manager in Jacksonville, FL. A privately held design-build firm with a strong reputation in mechanical and electrical construction, particularly within the Department of Defense market, is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead major mechanical construction projects in the Jacksonville, FL area supporting federal installations including NSA JAX and Naval Station Mayport. The ideal candidate brings a minimum of five years of experience managing mechanical scopes of work valued at $5M or more, encompassing HVAC, Sheet Metal, Piping, and Plumbing, within commercial, government, or federal contracting environments. This role demands strong financial management capabilities, DoD and federal compliance knowledge, and the ability to drive projects from design through closeout.

Annual Salary: $120,000 to $150,000 Annually BOE

Responsibilities:

• Lead all phases of mechanical construction projects from design through closeout, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Oversee mechanical scopes of work valued at $5M or more, including HVAC, Sheet Metal, Piping, and Plumbing.
• Manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate project sequencing and scheduling to align resources and maintain delivery milestones.
• Manage risk, labor planning, and documentation processes including submittals and RFIs.
• Ensure strict compliance with DoD, federal, and company safety standards on all project sites.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams as the primary project point of contact.
• Support project turnover and prepare closeout documentation in accordance with government and DoD client requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Project Manager in commercial, government, or federal construction environments.
• Proven success managing mechanical scopes of work valued at $5M or more, including HVAC, Sheet Metal, Piping, and Plumbing.
• Demonstrated financial management expertise including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Experience in Department of Defense or federal contracting environments is required.
• Strong knowledge of DoD and federal compliance standards as they apply to construction project management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with McCormick, Bluebeam, or similar construction software is preferred.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass all pre-employment screenings, including background checks, drug testing, and federal security clearances.
• A project list detailing previous projects and the candidate's specific role on each is required for consideration.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be aware of and adhere to OSHA safety standards.
• May be exposed to heights and loud noises on active construction sites.
• May need to occasionally climb stairs and/or ladders.
• Occasional stooping, kneeling, and bending required.
• May need to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
• Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
