Actalent in Seattle is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer / Project Manager to lead design and execution of complex building systems across Education, Mission-Critical/Data Center, Retail, Federal, and Commercial facilities.

This hybrid, permanent role emphasizes overseeing multidisciplinary teams, mentoring engineers, and driving innovative mechanical design from concept through construction, with a strong HVAC emphasis and client engagement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• 5+ years in the construction industry.
• Strong HVAC and mechanical system design background.
• Proficient with Revit; working knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
• Experience leading project teams and managing engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for HVAC, plumbing, and MEP systems.
• Manage multiple projects with quality, schedule and budget.
• Oversee project teams and coordinate engineers, designers, staff.
• Develop and maintain client relationships while supporting business development.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Review designs for codes and project requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other disciplines.
• Support design-build and consulting engagements from planning through construction.
