Job summary

SLB New Energy & Industrial is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (Mechanical) to help deliver mechanical systems for large-scale data center construction projects. The role requires presence on construction sites and willingness to relocate domestically to project locations, with relocation assistance available.

You will plan, procure, manage subcontractors, schedule, track costs, and assist with commissioning activities for plumbing, piping, and critical cooling infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3–7 years of construction experience with mechanical systems.
• Experience with HVAC, chilled water, piping, and plumbing systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.

Responsibilities

• Support management of mechanical trade partners and project stakeholders.
• Assist with procurement, contract administration, and material tracking.
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs.
• Monitor installation progress and support schedule development.
• Assist with cost tracking, forecasting, and change management.
• Coordinate field activities between mechanical, electrical, and structural trades.
• Support quality assurance and commissioning processes.
• Participate in project meetings and client communications.
• Ensure project compliance with safety and quality standards.
