Job summary

Exyte US, Inc. is seeking a proactive Project Engineer - Mechanical (Wet) - Process to coordinate construction activities on a complex GMP pharma project. You will assist the construction management team in planning, execution and daily oversight to meet milestones safely, on time and within budget.

You will support scheduling, document control, QA/QC, and safety programs while coordinating with field teams, subcontractors and procurement to keep resources flowing and risks controlled.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of construction experience, preferably in biopharma & life sciences, cleanroom, or containment facilities.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project.
• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent.
• Experience on fast-paced, large-scale pharma or life sciences projects.
• Knowledge of GMP and pharmaceutical facility systems (HVAC, process piping, electrical distribution).

Responsibilities

• Support the Construction Manager in overseeing daily construction operations and subcontractor activities.
• Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation to maintain project timelines.
• Assist in managing documentation including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
• Monitor quality assurance and control processes to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Promote and enforce safety protocols and participate in safety audits and toolbox talks.
• Track material deliveries and coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of resources.
• Facilitate communication between field teams, contractors, and project managers.
• Identify and elevate issues that may impact project timelines or quality, and assist in developing solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned
