Core Group is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Houston-based team. You will bridge sales and engineering, understanding project needs and delivering technical solutions while guiding execution with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes independent work on moderately complex tasks, strong communication, and hands-on experience with CAD tools and CRM systems to drive client satisfaction and project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Strong written and verbal communication for non-technical audiences.
• Experience with CRM tools and technical documentation systems.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently on moderately complex technical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries about product specifications, features, and integration.
• Communicate technical solutions clearly to sales teams and clients.
• Ensure proposed solutions are sized correctly and meet quality standards.
• Support and lead parts of proposals, quotes, and technical documentation.
• Participate in sales meetings, providing technical insights.
• Collaborate with operations and project management for efficient execution.
• Estimate project costs and assist in product design decisions with sales/production teams.
• Perform installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of products in the field.
• Develop tools and docs to facilitate product transitions to internal teams.
• Contribute to process improvements and cross-functional problem solving.
