Job summary

Tenova Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities across design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and acceptance.

You will work with the Project Manager, customers, vendors, and site teams as a key technical interface throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of engineering/design experience in heavy industrial equipment or process plants.
• Experience coordinating engineering activities within multidisciplinary projects.
• Understanding of project management principles and project lifecycle phases.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, calculations, and design documentation.
• Knowledge of applicable engineering codes, standards, and industry practices.
• Ability to evaluate technical solutions considering project requirements, cost, schedule, and performance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate across stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with engineering/design software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activities and support project planning and scheduling.
• Review contract docs and specs to ensure deliverables meet scope.
• Coordinate flow of technical information between disciplines.
• Serve as technical interface with customers, partners, vendors, and internal teams.
• Support PM in resolving technical issues affecting scope, schedule, or cost.
• Coordinate development of engineering deliverables, drawings, design schedules, and docs.
• Perform or review calculations for equipment sizing and maintain records.
• Coordinate resolution of design issues with customers and site teams.
• Prepare and coordinate tech specs, BOMs, and requisitions for Procurement.
• Support technical evaluation and supplier qualification with PM and Procurement.
• Review vendor docs to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Provide technical support to the Project Manager during project execution.
• Participate in site installation, commissioning, and acceptance as needed.
• Ensure activities comply with codes, ISO standards, and Tenova quality procedures.
• Perform Mechanical Design Engineer responsibilities as required.
