Job summary

• Participate in site visits, project meetings, and construction administration activities.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and industry standards.
• Assist with commissioning activities and project closeout documentation.

Salary Range:

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting complex commercial and mission-critical projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects involving HVAC, plumbing and fire protection system design for high-performance facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support mechanical system design and project execution from concept through commissioning.
• Prepare coordinated construction documents including drawings, specifications, and technical details.
• Perform load calculations and equipment sizing/layout for HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams, architects, contractors, vendors and external stakeholders.
• Participate in site visits, project meetings, and construction administration activities.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and industry standards.

Required Qualifications:

• 5–10 years of experience in mechanical engineering/design within a consulting or engineering environment.
• Prior experience managing or leading engineering projects preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Familiarity with building codes, ASHRAE standards and NFPA requirements.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Experience:

• Exposure to mission-critical, data center, healthcare, commercial or institutional projects.
• Experience with commissioning processes and building management systems.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
