Job summary

Ruveon seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer, Intermediate, to lead project execution for capital projects in its manufacturing facilities in the United States. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and several years of progressive experience, with emphasis on safety, cost control, and regulatory compliance.

The candidate will manage scope from initiation to completion, coordinate with Construction Field Coordinators, and ensure adherence to Bayer regulatory standards

• Experience with layout of construction or shutdown activities as related to project scheduling.

• Develop accurate project cost estimates, identify cost-savings, and provide updates to management.
• Lead project reviews and assure thorough action item follow-up.
• Develop clear and concise appropriation requests, communicate and present background and justification.
• Select appropriate vendors, soliciting bids with Purchasing.

Mechanical Project Engineer, Intermediate

Provides daily tactical direction, applies technical skills, and resolves routine issues throughout the project execution process. Ensures the safe, efficient, productive, and cost-efficient project design and implementation of capital projects throughout the Active Ingredient manufacturing and Formulations, Fill and Packaging facilities. This position provides technical knowledge and is accountable for planning, coordination, and execution of technical activities needed to support capital execution in manufacturing operations.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide engineering project management to capital projects, from project initiation through completion.
• Responsible for moderate project complexity and moderate project load.
• Develop accurate project cost estimates, identify cost-savings, and provide updates to management.
• Lead project reviews and assure thorough action item follow-up.
• Develop clear and concise appropriation requests, communicate and present background and justification.
• Select appropriate vendors, soliciting bids with Purchasing.
• Assist Construction Field Coordinators with project implementation requirements; visit job sites to review work activities, safety, and construction.
• Accurately document project files and closure information in a timely manner.
• Ensure systems and equipment are designed and installed in accordance with Bayer and regulatory standards with life cycle cost considered.
• Provide input and engineering assistance to site personnel to facilitate application of plant and corporate standards, safety procedures, and other regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Four years of progressive engineering experience.
• Strong E&I trouble shooting skills. Proficient in SAP, Prometheus, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with layout of construction or shutdown activities as related to project scheduling.

Posting will be available until September 30, 2026

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $73,120.00 - $109,680.00 per year. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
