Job summary

Upgrade Resources is seeking a Project Engineer II - Mechanical in Carrollton, TX, on-site, full-time. The role focuses on leading technical efforts, interpreting HVAC/plumbing plans, assembling submittals, procuring equipment, and managing subcontractors to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, at least 3 years of related experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• Ability to read mechanical/plumbing plans and interpret specs.

Responsibilities

• Support project team on mechanical projects of varying size.
• Lead technical resource on smaller projects.
• Coordinate with management and stakeholders on project matters.
• Inform management on issues affecting schedule or budget.
• Manage change orders and track their impact.
• Expedite materials to maintain schedule.
• Procure equipment, materials, and services.
• Assist in subcontractor selection and hiring.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical questions.
