Job summary

Vanderlande seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer II to advance engineering efforts for North American airport baggage handling projects. You will transform customer requirements into mechanical designs, produce 2D drawings and 3D models, and collaborate with multiple engineering teams to ensure timely delivery.

You will develop equipment lists and BOMs, perform system calculations and maintain project documentation, while supporting site surveys, installation, and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in mechanical design, automation, or material handling.
• Ability to read and develop engineering drawings and specs.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Autodesk tools (Revit/Navisworks/BIM360).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer drawings and project requirements into mechanical design deliverables.
• Develop and modify 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Create and maintain equipment and conveyor lists, BOMs, and documentation.
• Perform clash detection and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Support site surveys, installation, commissioning, and issue resolution.
• Maintain schedule commitments and report status, risks, and actions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards.
