Job summary

m2e Consulting Engineers is seeking a Project Engineer to assist in mechanical inspections, analysis, and reporting for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. You will support design and inspection services, coordinate with the MEP team, and help ensure code compliance and high-quality engineering outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold a Florida PE license, a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, and 4+ years of mechanical systems design experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Master's degree is preferred but not required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Florida (required).
• Valid Florida Driver’s License and reliable transportation (required).

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth analysis of mechanical systems, including field investigations and evaluations.
• Interpret relevant building codes and write detailed engineering reports.
• Design remedial solutions and prepare technical documents and drawings.
• Coordinate and conduct mechanical inspections for engineering assessments.
• Collaborate with the MEP team to ensure code compliance and design intent.
• Support commissioning activities and evaluate mechanical system performance.
• Prepare and review scopes of work and specifications for construction.
• Visit job sites to assess conditions and monitor progress.
