Job summary

m2e Consulting Engineers is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead complex mechanical projects in South/Central Florida, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget adherence. You will supervise engineers and technicians, coordinate with clients, and drive project execution from design through field deployment.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of relevant experience, an active Florida P.E. license or reciprocal, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of pre- or post-degree work experience in construction, design, inspection or estimating, and budgeting.
• Active Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to reciprocate within six months.
• Valid contractor license (building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing) preferred.
• Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and scope.
• Lead and support a team of engineers, consultants, and technical staff.
• Oversee design development, plan preparation, specifications, and project execution.
• Review engineering documents, reports, and plans for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions as needed.
• Support project budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Participate in field activities such as site visits, inspections, and data collection as needed.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and support business development efforts.
• Contribute to process improvements and development of internal standards and procedures.
• Mentor and guide junior staff, supporting their technical and professional growth.
