Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting healthcare and building-design projects. This role is ideal for a seasoned mechanical engineer with strong experience in architectural/engineering consulting, project management, client communication, and mechanical building systems. The successful candidate will serve as a technical leader for mechanical engineering projects, working closely with clients, project teams, and other engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality solutions from design through completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects, with an emphasis on healthcare and building-design projects.
• Serve as the primary mechanical engineering resource throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and review mechanical designs, calculations, specifications, and construction documents.
• Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, electrical, structural, and other project disciplines.
• Provide project management, including scheduling, budgeting, coordination, and quality control.
• Communicate directly with clients to understand project requirements, provide updates, and resolve technical issues.
• Represent the mechanical engineering discipline during project meetings and client discussions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
• Evaluate construction costs and life-cycle considerations related to mechanical systems.
• Participate in project planning, design reviews, and construction administration activities.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical engineering and MEP/building systems experience.
• Healthcare project experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects from concept through completion.
• Strong understanding of construction costs and life-cycle considerations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, architects, engineers, and internal project teams.
